Washpool Newsletter - August 2015

This is the first edition of a regular news-letter to keep people informed about the changing face of the Washpool. Each summer the area dries out, the birds and frogs disappear, and the samphire grass, which is the basis of the area’s ecology is once again exposed, showing its red-tinged foliage once again. This news-letter will keep you informed about the changing face of the wetlands. It will also keep you up to date with what’s been happening in terms of securing its long-term management as a place of great significance for Indigenous peoples and as a wetland of national significance.
